I upgraded to Windows 10 and could not print to my Canon MX340 printer. It worked on windows xp and 8.1 before upgrading. Troubleshooting just told me to turn on the printer. It was on and connected to wifi. Computer was connected to wifi. I thoughtmaybe removing the printer and and then allowing it to 're-find' the printer may work.
Now it cannot find it. Restarted my computer. I went to Canon website and downloaded drivers. In the process of setting everything up with the drivers,I was given the prompt to turn on my printer. Struggled for a while. My router has gateway of 192.168.1.1 and all devices connecting under DHCP were assigned address in the segment 192.168.1.x of couse. The printer was connecting to the router fine, but was being assigned anaddress in the 192.168.0.x segment and gateway of 192.168.0.1. I went to the printer LAN settings, went to IPv4 and went to manually assign an address in the right segment of 192.168.1.x and set the gateway to 192.168.1.1.

Used to be you right click on the printer, and click install, and Windows would read off the printer the WIA driver.
What in the world happened. This troubleshooting step was completely useless to install WIA support from the printers internal firmware,and you know it.Please find a solution to the question, instead of copy/pasting your rote responses. This ongoing behavior has been reported to your QA management team. After the first reply, you should be helping customers, not spamming the same information over and overagain!
