Technical and Economic Consulting for the U.S. Department of Energy, Office of Fossil EnergyFor this engagement, Enegis provides technical and economic support to the DOE/FE, where it is providing support to collect and analyze U.S. Natural gas (with specific emphasis on LNG by vessel) export and import data. The results of the Enegis data collection and validation are published in monthly and quarterly analyses and reports for client review and public presentation to interested parties in government, such as DOE and the Energy Information Administration (EIA), and the private sector. The increasing U.S. LNG exports by vessel have focused Enegis’ data analyses on the LNG vessel cargo trade routes, destination countries, volumes, and prices.Enegis enhances its U.S. LNG exports by vessel data validation processes by reviewing LNG data sets on the Bloomberg Terminal and other external sources.
These data validation checks have significantly increased the accuracy of the countries of destination, volumes shipped, and pricing (including liquefaction pricing). This has helped to ensure the DOE client’s LNG Monthly publication is accurate for use by stakeholders in the energy and finance markets.Enegis also has provided input to DOE’s Quadrennial Technology Review (QTR), which examines the most promising research, development, demonstration, and deployment (RDD&D) opportunities across energy technologies to address effectively U.S.
