So I've started up d2 again and am building a hardcore single-player Assassin. I'm having a blast, but I'm a bit frustrated that I can't get ladder-only runewords in singleplayer. I searched for a solution but nothing seems to work.
Does anyone have any suggestions or work-arounds?Additionally, does anyone know of an unlimited-stash-space mod for the latest Mac OS X version of d2? Cheers!UPDATEI'm partway towards a work-around, for anyone that finds this topic later.GoMule (available at ) is a java-based muling program for D2 that, based on my limited testing, seems to work with the latest version of D2. It does not create items or change stats or anything, but it can read pre-existing 'stash' files and allow you to move items to/from these files. If I can now find a 'stash' file (.d2x) full of ladder-only runeword items, I should be able to import these items to singleplayer.
I'm yet to find any of these files available online, so testing this idea might have to wait until I have access to a PC with hero editor to create the items, then create a stash file using GoMule, then transfer the stash file to my Mac.It's a clumsy work-around, but it seems promising. If anyone has any of these files (created by either GoMule or ATMA) let me know/email me so I can test the theory!UPDATE 2So I downloaded a character pack which includes a whole bunch of ladder-only runeword items already made. I moved the save files from the downloaded pack to the d2 folder and opened the characters in-game.
Fallout new vegas rifles. I then quit, and opened the downloaded characters with GoMule, and transferred their items to my regular characters. Ladder-only runewords on single-player Mac. It's not perfect; I can't create the runewords myself in-game, and you're relying on someone else's work, but it's a good start. I'm happy to play the normal way and only import a runeword when I have all the runes and items I would normally need.
Contents. What is it?The Horadric Cube is a quest item obtained in Act II which can be used to complete several quests. In addition to that task, it can be also used as a permanent backpack to store additional items and create new ones. How do you use it?You can place items into the Horadric Cube by picking them up and dragging them over the Horadric Cube. You will hear a sound when the item is placed into the Cube. You can also open up the Cube by right clicking on it like a Tome. Drag items from your inventory into the Cube. (A new inventory for the cube will open.)Now to really use it you just put in the ingredients of the recipe and hit the transmute button (right click the Horadric Cube and hit the button right below it's inventory.)RecipesNote: Sometimes you see a formula with weird words.
