Posted: 7 JuneI am a huge fan of the Fallout series. But, I just can't get behind this game. I recently reinstalled Fallout Tactics and was reminded why I never completed it. Combat, which is 99% of the game, is awful.
It's clunky and slow. During combat, the game does not give you an action point cost to move X amount of spaces, which seriously affects your ability to use strategy. Basically, combat was designed to just Run n' Gun, real time combat, which doesn't really work, and is very unsatisfying. After about 2.5 hours of game play, I was still struggling through the first mission. This game is not worth it, unless you just want to complete your Fallout collection.
Fallout Tactics: Brotherhood of Steel is another big name in the Turn-based Tactical-RTS and Action-RPG genres.
